It clamps positive overvoltages through integrated diodes and suppresses negative surges via two thyristors, with the negative firing threshold referenced to -VBAT for flexible protection configuration . The device features an ultra-low gate triggering current of just 5mA, reducing PCB current consumption during the firing phase . Capable of handling 30A peak pulse current (10/1000µs), it meets key industry standards including UL60950, IEC 60950, UL1459, and FCC Part 68 . The Trisil™ crowbar technology is not subject to ageing and provides a fail-safe short-circuit mode for enhanced long-term reliability . Housed in a compact 8-SOIC surface-mount package, it is ideal for high-voltage and classical SLIC protection in fiber-in-the-loop, WLL, remote central office, and VoIP equipment .
