ATMEGA328P-AU is a high-performance, low-power 8-bit AVR microcontroller from Microchip Technology, based on the advanced RISC architecture with 131 powerful instructions, most of which execute in a single clock cycle, delivering up to 20 MIPS throughput at 20MHz. It features 32KB of Flash program memory with 10,000 write/erase cycle endurance, 2KB of SRAM, and 1KB of EEPROM with 100,000 cycle endurance and guaranteed data retention of 20 years at 85°C. Housed in the compact 32-pin TQFP (7x7mm) package with 23 programmable I/O lines, this device offers extensive peripheral integration. It includes three flexible timer/counters (two 8-bit, one 16-bit) with compare and capture modes, up to six PWM channels, an 8-channel 10-bit ADC, a programmable USART with high baud rate accuracy, a master/slave SPI serial interface, and a byte-oriented 2-wire serial interface (I2C compatible). The device also features an on-chip analog comparator, a programmable watchdog timer with dedicated on-chip oscillator, and pin change interrupts on all I/O pins. Operating from 1.8V to 5.5V, the ATMEGA328P-AU supports six software-selectable power-saving modes including Power-down mode (0.1µA at 1.8V) and Power-save mode for asynchronous timer operation, making it ideal for battery-powered applications.
